# cin - Independent Cinema On Demand

## What is cin?
cin builds and operates private screening rooms for independent films. Unlike Uscreen or Shift72, cin gives filmmakers frontend code access, charges no revenue share, and supports custom design around direct-to-audience releases on the film's own domain.

## Who is it for?
Independent studios and filmmakers releasing one film or a small slate directly to audiences. Festival circuit filmmakers (Berlinale, Cannes, Sundance). Rights holders who want ticket money to land in their own Stripe account instead of passing through a distributor or platform.

## Pricing
- cin: €299/month net, optional setup billed separately at €800 net (1 active film, 100k playback min/mo)
- cin+: €499/month net, optional setup billed separately at €800 net (3 active films, 250k playback min/mo, 2 requests or 4 dev hours/mo after setup)
- Custom agreement: no listed price, quoted by complexity (cin takes over launch prep and builds the experience the filmmaker wants; can include bespoke design, custom release logic, asset prep, and full codebase handover as a frozen snapshot)
- Playback overage: alert at 80%; additional playback is billed by minute at the rate confirmed before launch
- DRM add-on: €150/month net, arranged per release (provider onboarding and device checks with us before activation, not an instant toggle)

Note: full-stack handover (formerly "Absolute cin") is no longer a priced tier; it is available under a custom agreement. The cin subscription ends after delivery, and the client assumes third-party infrastructure, provider, maintenance, and future development costs.

## Platform limits
cin is for filmmakers and studios selling their own films directly to viewers. It is not a general video host, corporate training portal, course platform, creator marketplace, multi-seller catalog, ad-supported streaming network, adult content service, gambling service, or open user-generated-content platform.
